December 14, 2020Springer Nature Group is interviewing researchers about their experiences of creating societal impact through research. Read the interview with Jutka Halberstadt, assistant professor at the Department of Health Sciences, Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam, and the Dutch national project manager of Care for Obesity. She works on the improvement of care for children with obesity in order to better their health and quality of life now and in the future.

Highly impactful Amsterdam stroke innovation now reaches even more patients
Ten years ago, a groundbreaking medical innovation made it possible to remove a blood clot from stroke patients using a catheter procedure. The health benefits for patients after this procedure are often much greater than with other treatments.
