Impact through research: focusing on your own practice

Ever think about the impact that your work can have outside of academia? Would you like to explore how you can increase the impact you’re already making? IXA developed a learning path on getting involved in valorisation and creating impact.

In this module, you will work on your own idea. During two interactive half-day sessions, you will further develop and concretise your idea.

What can you expect?

  • You will work on your own research idea
  • Conduct a stakeholder analysis;
  • Learn about various models to further develop your idea;
  • Receive inspiration and feedback from the trainers and other participants;
  • Gain knowledge about funding opportunities, working with external partners and protecting your knowledge;
  • Develop a concrete plan for your (research) idea under trainer guidance;
  • Work on a step-by-step plan to guide you through the process;
  • By the end of these sessions, you will have a clear plan towards impact and an overview of the contacts in your network who can help you move forward.

Location: The knowledge institutions will alternate hosting the sessions.
Duration: 2 times a 3-hour session
Time investment: approximately 12 hours (including homework assignments)
